A Few Thoughts on Obama

  1. Obama reversed a REAGAN era law that required firearms to be "locked down" while in all National Parks in the United States.  Licensed gun owners can now carry loaded firearms into all National Parks, as long as the states allow it.  Meanwhile, there was a huge "gun rights" rally in Washington DC last week, where thousands of armed citizens stood on the capitol mall crying about how the Obama Administration is going to "take away their guns".
  2. Gregory Craig, the Obama Administration's former White House Counsel, was just hired by Goldman Sachs to - get this - to help them "navigate the hallways of Washington DC" (AP), as they deal with the legal challenges now supposedly being mounted by the Administration.  I'm just sayin'!
These are just two very recent moves by the Obama Administration, along with many I have already written about in previous blogs.  What I wanted to point out this morning is how incredibly obvious it has become that Obama is, among other things - some good, some bad - a corporate sycophant.

While the Obama Administration starts to ramp up the rhetoric against the Republican hypocrisies that abound, he is underhandedly passing measures that appear to be sly attempts at wooing some Republicans to his "side of the isle" as they so love to say.

Look, Mr. Obama, you can't kiss the asses of the most fucked up right wing hypocrites in the world, let all their corporations off the hook, and then expect the public to think you are a fighter for the people simply because you can point out the obvious about these hypocrites.  You are showing your true color, Mr. President.
